I have had this for a couple of days now and haven't fully explored all the possibilities yet. It does power my relatively inefficient speakers (85db) with no problems and I have noticed no excessive heat generation or operating problems yet. The remote sucks, but as I am planning on replacing it with a Harmony this is not a huge deal (actually, most reviews of current AVR's indicate their remotes suck).
